I played Xenoblade Chronicles 2 months ago on Wii U as I am trying to finish the massive backlog of games I have, and what a game that was! without a doubt it's one of the finest games ever made and easily one of the best JRPGs ever produced if not the best. After I played it, I can't wait to see what that team can accomplish with X on Wii U, it's currently my most anticipated game in 2014.
Awesome game, I finished the original twice, on 360 and recently on Steam, and just finished episode 1 of season 2 on Steam. I am afraid that talking any further about this game might contain a spoiler or two ;)
Good choice, I went with Wii U + PC + 3DS/Vita this gen, might get a Steam Box down the road. Almost all Million sellers on Nintendo's consoles are MADE by Nintendo. Almost all million sellers on Sony's consoles are MADE by 3rd party companies, games that you can get on other gaming devices including PC(with better graphics, mods, cheaper game prices and free online). Don't blindly disagree.

I played the demo for 5 hrs now and the game is more than I ever wanted in a Jrpg in this day and age, graphics and art are very beautiful, soundtrack is superb and very catchy, just listen to the battle theme and Ancheim music, the battle system is complex and multi-layered with leveled job system and online friend recruitment, Simply excellent. 3DS is close to being my best gaming device ever!
I've played and finished Witcher 1 and 2 on PC 2 including enhanced edition: DC, and while they were great pc style rpgs and good games overall, they were definitely Not GOTY contenders.
The 3DS didn't have a great year, it had one of the best if not the best year for any gaming device ever. Absolutely amazing high quality Games have been released non-stop the last year it would be boring to list them down in my comment! Phenomenal job, 3DS, for a system that was supposed to be "dead on arrival and massively outsold by its competitor, the Vita" as Pachter prophesized and tried to indoctrinate gamers as he usually does.
It's all about Hype these days, just hype the damn thing and do a celebrity-infested advertisement campaign with some tech jargon explaining the advent of hair in the nostrils of a generic shooter protagonist or moving individual grass patches in Madden 46 using the graphical Power of your box, don't forget to promise copious amounts of online multiplayer fpses with voice chat for the drooling prepubescent kids so they can run and buy the latest CoD/BF and cuss and scream each other&#...

You know what, I can't even have a single GOTY this year; but I agree with you W101 is an absolute blast to play and is among my six GOTYs! the others are SM3DW, ALBW, Pikmin 3, GTA V and Fire Emblem.
Love this new music and the eShop layout, the BGM is much better than the last one and very Nintendo-esque.
The Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 are the most unique and freshly fun games I've played all year, and I believe they deserve to be played and enjoyed by everyone.
Great game! I played it on Steam more than a couple months ago, and yesterday bought it on Wii U and I have to agree with the reviewer in that the controls on Wii U are much better than other versions; I wish more devs use the Gamepad to its full capabilities and also introduce more genres that require abundance of inputs and interfaces that have been historically possible only on PC like Strategy games and rpgs as well as Diablo style rpgs, MMOs and Adventure games.

Just saw it on Smash Bros. Miiverse community with an equally beautiful but different shot of princess Zelda. Can't wait to play this game with the family and friends.
An absolute Masterpiece, just finished it last week and still humming its music involuntarily. Waiting for more Zelda goodness is as hard as it always been.
